Essex Larders - Cutting Pies
In the heart of the Essex countryside lies Pyes Farm - the home of Essex Larders. Founded in 1980, when the farm buildings were converted to the bakery, Essex Larders is now a thriving family business specialising in hand crafted traditional pies, quiches, puddings and desserts.
Quality and freshness are the main priorities and everything is made to order using only the finest local ingredients with no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. The individual touches such as the local handmade chutney in the Pork and Drayman's Chutney pie, the local beer in the steak and kidney puddings, the large measure of Baileys in the Baileys cheesecake and the generous Ale and splashes of Brandy in the Christmas puddings make the Essex Larders range very special.
They are constantly reviewing their range and introducing new recipes to ensure variety. Just some of the products available from their extensive award winning range include Turkey, Gammon and Cranberry, Chicken Ham & Honey Mustard, Pork and Stilton, Duck and Sage, Royal Game and Bacon, Brie & Cranberry all cooked in our golden hot water pastry. For those of us that don't fancy meat pies they make a delicious Feta Cheese and Spinach pasty and several vegetable quiches, pasties & pies.. Winter warmer savoury pies and puddings include Steak, Kidney and Mushroom, Chicken, Broccoli and Stilton and Chicken & Leek Pies. The range of desserts and sweet puddings includes Baileys Cheesecake, Raspberry Cheese flan, Bakewell Tart and steamed sponges such as Syrup Sponge and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
They pride themselves on their flexibility and personal response to all customers. This, coupled with the exciting range of products makes it easy to see why they supply so many outlets throughout East Anglia, London, Greater London, South East of England and The Midlands. As well as supplying top London foodhalls, restaurants, public houses, delicatessens and farm shops you will find their pies at many large sporting events to add to the enjoyment of the day!
